Central Mine Rescue Station W BYTOMIU

DMRS Wodzisław Śląski

The need to establish a regional mining rescue station for the mines of the Rybnik Coal Industry Union was officially expressed for the first time in Order 2/48 of the Central Coal Industry dated January 10, 1948. The station did not start up. The decision regarding the location and launch date of the district station for the Rybnik district was included in Order 288 of the Minister of Mining on July 31, 1954, and it was set to “Beata” shaft in Rydułtowy until June 30, 1955. The next suggestion was the area of the “Chwałowice” mine. None of these suggestions have been implemented.

OThe construction of the District Station for the Rybnik Coal Region was ultimately carried out in Wodzisław Śląski. The District Mining Rescue Station in Wodzisław Śląski started its operations on January 3, 1958.

Developed based on “Polskie Zorganizowane Ratownictwo Górnicze; Historia i Współczesność 1907-2007” (Polish Organized Mining Rescue Services; History and Modernity 1907-2007)
